Library Use Question

My current thinking has a Component (think WinForms Timer) that plays nice with standard WinForms projects if the user changes the way the application starts up (modifies Main).

The rest of the library expects an MTA thread and that COM security is already set up.

If you're not interested in MTA/COM/other issues, just use the Component on your Form and write code against it (all STA/MTA switching is done for you).

If you're willing to deal with the MTA/COM implications yourself, use the rest of the library directly.

Opinions?

Is a modified Main method too much to ask?
What is the alternative? An out-of-process call to ensure our code has its own way with COM?
